Easy Social Ride 26 May 2024 - Yarralumla

Join us for this easy social ride.

This ride starts at 9:00 am but we ask you to please arrive 15 minutes early for a prompt departure.

The ride will start on Elm Avenue off Robert Boden Grove behind the nursery in Yarralumla.  It is a quiet street with parking under the trees.  (Note: the street is unnamed on Apple maps but is named on Google maps.)

This ride is entirely on bike paths but with a couple of road crossings at lights.  We will ride west around LBG and out to Weston Creek along the river.  We then turn south, go around the back of Cooleman Court and then turn east to Woden.  We then turn north just before Woden and follow the bike paths back through Curtin and to the lake at Yarralumla.  If time and energy levels permit, we will ride around the peninsula before making our way to morning tea at Yarralumla nursery.  The route is 22km (or 18km if peninsula not ridden at the end).

About Pedal Power Easy Social Rides

Pedal Power Easy Social Rides are designed for less experienced riders and those returning to cycling or anyone lacking confidence riding in a group. All rides will aim to stay within an average pace of 15-18km/h and be around 20 km.

All rides are conducted by an accredited social ride leader and they will have an end rider. Depending on the experience and capabilities of the group, the ride may have regrouping stops along the way.  

At the end of the ride, enjoy a café stop with your fellow riders!
