Pedal Power’s Rules (its constitution) and Membership Terms & Conditions

1. Applicants for membership and members (each referred to as ‘you’ or ‘I’) agree to accept the Rules of Pedal Power ACT Inc (Pedal Power). -https://www.pedalpower.org.au/s/PP-Rules-2023-5wf3.pdf
2. You agree that your application for membership or renewal of membership implies your acceptance of and consent to the terms of Pedal Power’s Privacy Policy for the collection and use of personal information: https://www.pedalpower.org.au/privacy-policy
3. If you apply for or renew membership on behalf of other members of your household, that implies acceptance of and consent by all members of the household to the terms of Pedal Power’s Privacy Policy for the collection and use of personal information: https://www.pedalpower.org.au/privacy-policy
4. Participants in Pedal Power events, programs and activities are expected to adhere to any terms and conditions that Pedal Power may apply to the event, program, or activity. You should carefully review any applicable terms and conditions posted on Pedal Power’s websites before entering an event, program, or activity.
5. Your agreement – by clicking on the ‘AGREE’ button, I signify that I agree to the terms and conditions of membership. If I am applying on behalf of members, I also certify that— I have explained the terms and conditions of membership to each applicant for membership in my household, including persons in my care or in the care of other members of my household; and each applicant for membership has indicated acceptance of these terms and conditions and that I agree on behalf of each applicant in my care.

Membership Particulars
 

1. Pedal Power needs your full name in your application for membership, as you may rely on Pedal Power being able to verify your membership by that name in the event of an emergency or insurance claim.

Membership Cancellation & Transfer.

1. No refund or exchange is available on any Pedal Power membership payment except as required by law and as otherwise specified by Pedal Power.
2. Membership is not transferable.

Household Membership

1. All the people in a household membership must reside at the same location.
2. Include the full name of each household member in the registration information. These particulars are important in the event of an emergency or insurance claim.
3. A Household Membership can comprise 1 or 2 adults and any number of children under 18 years of age within a household limit of 7 members in total OR a household limit of 4 members in total when there are more than 2 adults, all residing at the same address. If you are unsure as to whether you qualify, please contact the Pedal Power at 6248 7995.
4. Notify any changes in your membership particulars or particulars of household membership (whether for primary contact person, composition, or particulars of people in the household). You will be able to update the details in our member portal online. If that isn’t possible for you, call the Pedal Power office, or write to or email us at membership@pedalpower.org.au.

Student Membership

1. Student memberships are available to people who are engaged in FULL TIME study at the time of joining/renewing. If requested by Pedal Power at any time during the 12-month period of membership, the member must provide proof of student status.

Insurance

1. Insurance coverage, including accident insurance, is included in Pedal Power's membership benefits. The types of insurance coverage provided, current policy wordings and summaries of cover and exclusions can be viewed here <https://vinsurancegroup.com/pedalpower/what-is-covered/>.
2. Insurance coverage commences from the time that Pedal Power receives payment of the annual membership fee and expires at 11.59 pm on the anniversary of the date of joining or renewal, as the case may be. If payment for renewal of membership is received prior to the membership expiry date, insurance coverage will be extended 12 months from the expiry date.
3. The Pedal Power Board reviews agreements between Pedal Power and its insurers annually by 30 November in order to offer the best possible value to members. In its annual review, the Board may choose to vary the insurance entitlements for members and will advise members of any change in coverage.

Access by Service Providers to Members' Personal Information

1. Pedal Power has contracts with service providers to collect and store membership information, including personal information (names, address, dates of birth, contact information, gender, and occupations) required to manage and maintain its membership database.
2. The information so collected is the property of Pedal Power and Pedal Power applies its Privacy Policy to that information when it is in Pedal Power’s possession. Pedal Power is not responsible for the privacy policy of its service providers.
3. Our contracted service providers may process this information in Australia or in other countries, on the service provider’s own servers or may have sub-contractors process the information on cloud servers. Where servers are located within the jurisdiction of other countries, the laws of those jurisdictions may impact on the privacy of your personal information, notwithstanding that acts or practices of the contracted service provider are subject to Australian law.

Revisions to these Terms & Conditions

1. From time to time, Pedal Power may review and revise these terms and conditions of membership in the light of experience of their operation by the Board and members, or legislative changes, or both.
2. We may invite our members to contribute to any review and will notify members of the revised terms and condition when adopted.
